Enrollment at Marin Mountain School in Corte Madera

The Marin Mountain School accepts children aged two years and nine months to six years old. A child may begin the first day of the month in which they turn two years and nine months. Children attending the Mountain School must be diaper or pull-up free during activity and rest.

How Enrollment Works

Take a Tour

Parent tours run from October through January 31 for the upcoming school year. Tours take place on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 10:30am. If there is room in the program, private tours are available upon request. Please contact us at info@marinmountainschool.org to schedule your visit.

Submit an Application for Admission

Spaces in our school are limited. We recommend that parents submit their child’s application promptly. Applications should be submitted by January 31, 2027, unless otherwise arranged, for the school year beginning the following September.

Schedule Your Child’s Visit

After applying, we will schedule a playdate-style visit for you and your child. Appointments will be scheduled in January and early February, pending space availability.

Sign the Enrollment Agreement

First-round Enrollment Agreements will be emailed on or after March 1. Please reply within a week by signing the enrollment agreement and submitting a $500 Enrollment and Site Development Fee. This fee holds your child’s space until the first tuition payment is due in May. The Enrollment Agreement is a legal document and we ask that you review it carefully before signing.

Pay First Tuition

Tuition and fees vary according to the schedule and payment plan you choose. The first tuition payment is due May 1st of the school year, starting in September. Payment details and options will be provided upon enrollment.

Marin Mountain School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our program does not cover its full cost through tuition alone. We rely on the generosity of our community and fundraising to fill the gap.

Quarterly (4 Payments) Due May 1st, August 1st, November 1st & February 1st

Monthly (10 Payments) Due May 1st through February 1st

Application Fee (non-refundable): $75 Due with application

Enrollment & Site Development Fee (non-refundable): $500 Due with enrollment

5% Sibling Discount Applies to 2nd and/or 3rd concurrently enrolled child

Sibling Applications

The Marin Mountain School gives preference to current families and siblings for enrollment. The deadline for siblings is November 30 for start dates during the following school year. If you missed this deadline, please complete the application as soon as possible.
