Every program at Marin Mountain School is designed around the developmental needs of young children, honoring their natural curiosity and their deep need for beauty, rhythm, and genuine human warmth.
Preschool
Our year-round preschool program serves children ages 2 years 9 months through 6 years in two loving classroom communities: the Hummingbird Nest and the Chickadee Nest.
Children experience a rich daily rhythm of circle time, free play, crafts, outdoor exploration, and shared meals. Small class sizes ensure each child receives individual attention and deep relationship.

Summer Camps
Our summer camps bring the spirit of Marin Mountain School into the long, golden days of summer. Each week has its own seasonal theme, from garden explorations to fairy tale adventures. Camp runs 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Summer camp is open to currently enrolled and returning students. New students begin camp the summer after completing their first school year.

Our two classrooms, the Hummingbird Nest and the Chickadee Nest, follow the same daily rhythm and curriculum. Both are mixed-age classes led by experienced Waldorf-trained teachers. The Hummingbird Nest is led by Celeste Payesko and the Chickadee Nest is led by Bronwen David.
Children also participate in practical life activities as a natural part of their day, including cooking snacks for the class, washing dishes, folding clothes, and caring for themselves and their classroom community.
